The ideal candidate for this unique opportunity will play an integral role in IMAXs DMR Division." In addition to functioning in the capacity of a Mid-level VFX Generalist, the successful candidate will be part of a select team working on IMAXs DMR production process. The work environment is a hands-on, boutique-style operation and the successful candidate will have a hand in the entire workflow. This workflow includes a proprietary suite of image enhancement tools, Project Management, Imagery-QC, Data I/O tasks, and basic Editorial functions using APPLEs Final Cut Pro. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate with a keen eye for detail. IMAX DMR films are recognized the world-over for their remarkable image clarity, detail and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
"Performs review, edit and synchronization of all aspects of media content generated to create optimized finished product for release.
"Acts as a Digital Roto/Paint Artist, capable of using proprietary/commercial platforms.
"Understands and completes basic Digital Compositing/Tracking/Roto-Scoping and Dirt-Removal/Dust-busting techniques.
"Conducts Quality-Control of imagery (pass/fail) on IMAX proprietary playback platform, with a keen eye for detail.
"Maintains a close relationship with project through its entire lifecycle using a proprietary database.
"Generates QuickTime files, breaking down content
"Experience in a film-entertainment / post-production environment using industry standard platforms such as Shake, Fusion, AfterEffects, Nuke, Pixel Farms PF-Clean/PF-Prep, and Photoshop.
"Proven ability to learn and master proprietary software tools within a short timeframe.
"Proven ability to work under a deadline intensive environment & willingness to work overtime and on weekends if necessary. Flexibility with work schedule based on workload.
"Knowledge of Digital Post-Production Workflow / Operations.
"Knowledge of Final Cut Pro / Editorial concepts.
"Basic understanding of Stereocopic-3D imagery.
"Knowledge of Digital Media Management (Linux/PC/Mac) a plus.
