The Business Development Officer Vice President of Customer Clearning Services will contact mid-sized broker dealers attempting to build business unit relationships for the Custom Clearing offering to support sales and revenue growth goals primarily on the East Coast. Person can be based in Boston, Charlotte, or “virtually” from other cities . Specific responsibilities include:

Responsible for prospecting and developing short and long term business relationships for CCS business on the East Coast.
A hunter and prospector who will spend much of his or her time on the road or on the phone in order to close the account or set up a final presentation for a more senior level manager on the team to close.
Overarching goal of prospecting new business, significantly contributing to the overall growth of the channel.
Identify cross-channel opportunities for LPL (i.e., TAMP/Advisory).

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have specific knowledge and experience in the correspondent clearing space, as well as knowledge regarding the mechanics of the brokerage business, trading, debt/equity, and also advisory products. Will have at least 5 years of senior level client facing experience as a relationship manager or new business developer.

CCS will focus on converting mid-size Independent BD’s and while connections in these sectors is secondary to skill set, the proven ability to engineer effective “C” Level institutional sales campaigns is required.

The winning candidate will have an excellent professional image and demeanor; a track record of sales success; high energy; and superior presentation skills (one-on-one, small group, board).
