Position Summary

We are currently seeking a VP of West Coast Business Development to help us continue the exciting and fast paced growth we have already experienced for the past decade. The position will allow you to work in the digital & media marketing research industry in a role that focuses on building NEW and long-lasting client relationships to help us grow our Western US region. In this position, you will work alongside our client services, research and technology teams to provide advertisers, agencies, and media companies’ knowledge of how to optimize their advertising performance during each stage of the advertising cycle.

This position will allow you to expand your work within the digital & media marketing research industry, in a role that allows you to pursue advertising effectiveness with advertisers, web publishers and media agencies alike. In this position you will be an integral part of the Client Team, managing an annual book of business of $5MM+.

Responsibilities

Accountable for all aspects of the sales process (prospecting to contract signing) to generate new sales revenue through consultative sales strategy development and execution

Accountable for identifying new business opportunities through established network and analysis of marketplace data and existing knowledge of the digital advertising landscape

Accountable to the consultative sales process and partnering with Client Team Leaders to assess talent and assign appropriate Team members to the prospective client.

Accountable to maintaining sales pipeline, forecast revenues and provide regular activity reports to management

Accountable for creating relationships with key contacts from a list of targeted prospects

Accountable to analyzing the competitive landscape and report back to the organization on points of differentiation

Job Qualifications

8 -10 years working experience within a “sales oriented culture” including at least 3 years proven success in a consultative sales role with a similar quota.

Industry specific in online advertising industry with a strong understanding of both Traditional and Digital media. Experience with Market Research is also essential

We are looking for an overall interest and understanding of what it takes to be successful with an understanding and passion to revenue growth and consultative sales

Engaging oral/written communication skills required including extreme comfort presenting to large groups in person and telephonically, including via web ex.

Superior Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

A positive, “can do” attitude, along with superior references specific to sales strategy execution will be a key factor in awarding this position

Position requires up to 25% travel
