Vice President, Corporate Risk

Support Firmwide Risk Governance projects, initiatives, meetings and reports. Support Senior Risk Management Governance committees, including coordinating agendas and materials. Provide analytical support to the CFO regarding risk governance, business reviews, reporting and special projects. Provide relevant ad- hoc support to Senior Risk Management executives, as appropriate, including the Managing Director, to which this position reports. Work closely with the Corporate Line of Business (LOB) and function partners to provide support for management reporting. Identify and implement opportunities for consistency in Risk Governance policy and procedures across all Lines of Business.
Supervise three employees, a Risk Management Analyst and two interns.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance or a related field.
2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a finance or risk management-related occupation.
Education or experience must include: 1. working with financial publicly disclosed reports such as 10Q/10K as background to customize reports for executive management and Board of Directors; 2.coursework on Banking and Financial Institutions; 3. understanding of the evolving nature of financial services industry and different areas of risk including credit risk, market risk and liquidity risk; 4. business analytics experience, including synthesis of data for consumption by senior management; 5. working in an organization with multiple Lines of Business or product areas; 6. liaising with cross-functional groups like Reporting, Human Resources, Legal, Functional/Business Leads, etc. to work on projects expanding across various groups and implement consistency; and 7. performing business management duties, including understanding the strategic impact of budgets and expenses, and building models to drive strategic decision making.
