The Vice President MDU Sales will lead a geographically-dispersed team of Sales Directors, Managers, Sales Representatives and Account Management professionals responsible for delivering growth across Time Warner Cable's core products and services.
The primary function of this position is to oversee new market development and sales in the New Build SFU, MDU and Bulk Residential segments. This will include direct and indirect responsibility for negotiating contracts and agreements with developers, property owners, builders and real-estate agencies that may have divisional and regional impact on business.
The Vice President will assist in organizational planning, execution and oversight of the communications process across the organization with respect to New Build SFU, MDU and Bulk Residential processes for the Markets.
Develop relationships, marketing partnerships and bulk agreements with property management companies, real estate developers, builders, and realtors that may have divisional or regional impact to ensure exclusive or primary provider positioning of Time Warner Cable's products and services in residential new build developments and MDU properties. Collect and respond to competitive intelligence/threats.
Lead and motivate a skilled team of professionals aimed at developing relationships and contracting with the housing development professionals in all the communities that we serve.
Develop and implement "best practices" in order to achieve and or surpass product and new customer relationship growth goals.
Partner with the SFU/MDU development team to help coordinate the implementation contracts across TWC markets.
Serve as a Liaison with corporate new market development team to help coordinate implementation of national contract across the region.
Build strong working relationships across organizational boundaries (e.g., marketing and construction) to ensure effective activities with regard to New Build and existing Bulk properties.
Work closely with the Sales leaders in the development and implementation of overall new build MDU and Bulk strategy and necessary policies, processes and tracking mechanisms to ensure success for the division.
Cultivate existing relationships and create additional partnerships with entities responsible for the development and sales of new residential properties to ensure TWC products/services are offered to new residents.
Coordinate the development and implementation of products and services offered to new build locations and MDU properties. Specifically this may include pricing, packaging and other professional services.
Work with Marketing and Operations Teams to develop and implement Bulk/MDU Upgrade Program to increase PSU penetration and revenue streams.
- Identify opportunities to expand Revenue and Property/Unit Growth and develop and implement action plans to achieve expanded goals.
- Develop competitive strategies to prevent defections/loss of properties and customers to competition. Identify properties that TWC may convert from competitors.
Achieve budgetary growth and expense goals. Work with Sr. Management team to budget and re-forecast expense revenue capital and growth activity.
- Develop and implement comprehensive University/College Plan to secure long term relationships with all Universities/Colleges in relevant TWC markets.
- Identify new technology needs (WiFi, IPTV, etc.) and collaborate across departments to create plan to maintain Time Warner Cable's stature in the market as leader in technology.
- Work with Finance to create Regional ROI (process to justify all contracts).
- Standardize all Process and Practices across MDU group.
Work with Marketing and Sales team to analyze market trends and conditions and their impact on regional competitive risks and growth opportunities.
Represent the division at industry functions, trade shows and conferences.
Other duties, tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or other related field or equivalent work experience; MBA Preferred
15+ years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience
preferably with multiple system organization
In-depth experience and understanding of New Build, MDU, SFU and Bulk Residential segments, with proven ability to build and manage strong partnerships with property management companies, developers and realtors.
Ability to travel up to 40-50% of the time
Demonstrated history of sales leadership positions in high-volume, fast-paced environments requiring teamwork, flexibility, and change management across multiple channels.
Strong leadership and change management skills with proven success in building and leading team-driven, results-oriented culture.
Successful demonstration of strategic communications and planning skills.
Proven track record in budgeting and resource management. Strong organization development and business skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadline.
Strong financial/analytical skills are needed, as is experience developing and presenting business plans.
