Under the supervision of Hospital executive leadership, the incumbent provides leadership for all operational, financial, and administrative aspects of the physician practice network. As a member of the Executive Staff, the position is responsible for the implementation of the Mission, Core Values, Policies and Procedures and Strategic Plan of the Health System.

Position Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement : Masters degree required.

Minimum Experience Requirement : A minimum of 5 years progressive leadership/administrative experience in physician practice management required. The Vice President must have demonstrated effectiveness in managing, directing departmental operations and management/supervisory personnel, evaluating, training, and motivating performance; ability to accomplish results through others; demonstrated ability to delegate effectively and to establish clear guidelines for accountability; and ability to build consensus and provide strong leadership in a team environment with the highest professional and personal integrity. Strong program development skills are required, with a proven track record in the development of high quality clinical services. Knowledge of current reimbursement and clinical issues confronting hospital-employed physician practices, preferred.

Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary to effectively influence and communicate with employees at all levels in the organization, along with board members and community leaders. Leadership skills to include effective planning, analyzing, decision making, human resource management and organizational skills. Highly developed oral and written presentation skills. Demonstrated business, entrepreneurial, technical and analytical skills. The ability to make sound, creative and credible financial decisions in a timely manner and to utilize outside resources when appropriate. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to develop contractual arrangements that support the ability of the System to continue its diverse and complex mission.
