Essential Functions and Experience

Responsible for team management including oversight and development of team members; contributing to and managing company, team and staff level objectives; and ensuring deliverables are met in accordance with governing standards.

Responsible for overseeing or contributing to a variety of financial activities including cash management, budgeting and forecasting, coordination of monthly close processes, account reconciliations and preparation of full financial reporting packages including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.

Prepare calculations needed for detailed validation of margin estimates, actuals, prior period adjustments and utility / customer remittance.

Perform analytical reviews of market activity including detailed explanations for fluctuations.

Ensure strong system of internal controls and processes for the business unit

Manage compliance and reporting for the renewable energy credit program including tracking, analysis of reserves, certification and audit coordination.

Coordinate with various internal and external sources to ensure group responsibilities for financial and regulatory compliance, reporting, audit and ad hoc requests are met.

Support business unit and company initiatives as requested including assistance with acquisitions, integrations, new business initiatives, system upgrades, data migrations and other special projects assigned.

Act as a team member with all employees of GDF SUEZ Energy NA staff.

Comply with all GDF SUEZ Energy NA policies and procedures.

      Qualifications
      Requirements Essential Physical Abilities

      Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.

      Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.

      Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

      Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

      Could involve some lifting

      Education /Experience

      A minimum of a bachelors degree in Accounting is required

      MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.

      10+ years total experience with CPA and experience in the retail energy industry desirable.

      Must have experience managing accounting / finance functions for large operation ($100 mm+), preferably in the energy industry.
