Oversee and support a full range of financial functions including accounting, internal and external reporting, Medicaid, tax, treasury, supply chain and others.

Position will report directly to and partner with CFO.

Will form solid relationships with all system leaders including Senior Leadership Team and work in collaboration to address complex financial and operational issues and strengthen their financial knowledge.

Will lead and support the organizations culture and promote financial transparency. Ability to lead and balance changes at Miami Children’s Hospital System and coming changes from health reform as well as establish a style of being visible, approachable and team oriented.

Minimum Job Requirements:
10 years of experience in hospital patient care financial leadership.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Experience in evaluating third party relationships and Medicaid and Medicare


Experience with tax laws and principles

CPA highly recommended

Knowledgeable financial professional with sound track record of making decisions based on fact.

Becomes the financial operations leader for MCH and MCHS helps define and evaluate financial and non-financial goals and objectives.

Develops and implements appropriate policies and discipline to maintain a reliable and high quality environment.

Ensures the integrity of all accounting and financial reporting in accordance with the requirements of internal and external and governmental constituencies

Stays current in the latest accounting regulatory and legislative standards.

Leads the financial staff in a professional and supportive way.

Assures appropriate talent and succession planning.

Successfully establish trust with the internal and external customers.

Create a market competitive cost structure
