Job Title: Vice President, Technical Operations Area of Interest: Fleet Operations
The Vice President of Technical Operations will be mainly responsible for Technical Maintenance, Marine Information Technology, Material Management and Logistic, Fleet and Technical Operations Budget, Special Projects, Refurbishments and New Builds start-up.
Cooperate closely with Vice President Compliance, Environmental & Occupational Safety and SVP Marine Operations in assuring the most efficient and economical fleet maintenance, within approved budget limits and in respect of safety and standards and environmental policies
Act as one of the Ship's main technical referents in the event of an emergency, being available to be contacted at any time, being in direct and continuous contact with the Senior VP Marine Operations
Coordinate all Directors of Operations and Director Electrical Systems in order to meet the Company policy in relation to management service standards and budget control; supervise all activities required to preparing, verifying and reporting information about ordinary maintenance as well as out of ordinary events (i.e. dry-docking, conversions, modifications, warranties, damages, etc)
Assure that Management is constantly updated of progress of technical expenditures versus approved R&M and capital budget. Supervise Technical Environmental and Safety Operations budget and administrative issues
Responsible for implementation of company policies and compliance with ethical code.
Ensure that supplier's contracts and service agreements, in coordination with Director of Technical Purchasing, are in accordance to specifications and requirements discussed and established within Technical Operations Environmental Management
Supervise and approve Office and Fleet upgrades and implementations of all marine operational software for procurement, budget and inventory control
Be involved in structuring, implementing, and monitoring of the Company SMS within the area of assigned responsibilities
Coordinate information flow among Technical Environmental and Safety Operations, Cruise Operations, Hotel Operations departments, Finance Dept. and onboard Management
Provide all documentation relevant to technical updates and related legislation to Onboard and Shore Management
Technical education (Naval Architect, Licensed Chief Engineer or equivalent)
Extensive Background in technical field, international trading and business administration
Good knowledge of information and operational systems
Personnel management and co-ordination skills
Extensive technical and/or Marine Engineering know-how
Extensive managerial experience
Good knowledge of management systems
