The University of Indianapolis invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the President, is a member of the President’s Cabinet, and is the university liaison with the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees.

The University of Indianapolis is a private, comprehensive, and diverse institution of higher education located on nearly 65 acres just minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, UIndy is distinguished by highly respected undergraduate programs in teacher education, business, communications, and the health sciences, nationally ranked graduate programs, and centers of excellence focusing on aging studies and education reform. The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the University’s financial administration, including development and administration of financial policies and procedures; accounting; auditing; insurance; operating and capital budgets; capital projects financing; management over the University’s relationships with credit ratings agencies; and various third party relationships with financial institutions and investment houses. The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will also oversee the preparation of financial analyses, modeling, and metrics and will be asked to render data in ways that are intelligible to sophisticated decision-makers and other audiences who are not financial experts.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
The University of Indianapolis encourages candidates with a wide range of experiences to apply. General qualifications include a CPA with between 10 and 15 years of senior management experience, strong leadership skills, excellent business judgment, and a collaborative and innovative temperament. The position requires superior communication skills and demonstrated proficiency using financial systems and related technology.
