The YMCA of Newark & Vicinity seeks a dynamic leader to oversee its Youth Development programs. Under the direction of the Sr. Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President for Youth Development will provide leadership to the Summer Day Camp, Afterschool, Youth Sports and Aquatics programs.
This position will provide leadership to all aspects of Membership and Fitness Departments. Duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and manage multiple department budgets
Provide exceptional training and leadership to all levels of staff from Directors to Front-Line
Possess community-minded approach to Youth Development
Demonstrate ability to start partnerships and outreach efforts that, ultimately, result in new sites for YMCA programs
Raise funds through the Strong Kids Campaign to assist in providing scholarships for deserving children and families
Find, Develop and Share stories relating to the YMCA impact in the community
Candidates must posess a four-year degree and 7-10 years of related experience.
Excellent communication and computer skills are required along with the ability to prepare and maintain reports.
The ability to work independently with general supervision is also a requirement.
Preferred candidates will have 5-7 years of proven supervisory experience and hold YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader or Organizational LeaderCertification.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
