As the chief administrative officer of the regional campuses, the vice provost oversees the development and operation of UCF’s ten regional campuses throughout the university’s eleven county service area.
Position Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate for the position of vice provost must have an earned doctorate or other appropriate terminal degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of five years of high level academic or administrative experience in higher education.
Preferences
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with college deans in academic program development and budget management, a record of success in collaborative approaches to building strong community and business partnerships, and experience in a state university or community college setting. In addition, candidates should be effective communicators and have a demonstrated record of system-level policy development and strategic planning in a complex multicampus environment serving students with diverse educational goals, and should have knowledge of online learning and continuing education.
