The video workflow engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing and delivering video solutions and platforms.
Collaborate with NBC Sports Digital editorial, production, and product teams in setting the technology direction; prioritizing business needs and formulating the design, project plans and budget to deliver on those commitments
Participate in requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling; work with technology partners, site engineers, and vendors to design and implement smart technology solutions and tools.
Establish a close partnership with NBC internal digital media teams (advertising operations, analytics, research) to drive technology strategy across the sports digital properties.
Bachelors in Computer Science, MIS or related degree
Minimum three (3) years experience in requirements gathering, business and technical analysis, and technical operations
Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Strong Project management and Budget skills
Prior experience with web technologies, broadcast and digital video workflow and operations, and digital video technology development
Broad knowledge of a wide variety of web and video platforms – Avid, Signiant, Aspera, Drupal, Freewheel, Flash, HTML5
Knowledge of emerging technologies & trends
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple groups and levels in organization
Self-motivation and resourcefulness required
Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to interact with all levels of management
Demonstrated experience with leading business through change
