ASU's Student Media is hiring a Videographer in its Creative Services unit. This position is responsible for video production and post-production activities, for both client-requested projects and internal marketing efforts. Responsibilities include:
Hands-on videography and post-production duties; Maintain and organize departmental equipment; capable of lifting 50 lbs. This position requires the ability to climb stairs in locations with no elevator, travel across campus, and drive own vehicle for business purposes.
The schedule is Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm daily, with extended hours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts or related area AND one year experience operating video cameras and editing equipment; OR, Five years experience operating video cameras and editing equipment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of: videography production and post-production methods and techniques in a Mac environment; utilizing Final Cut Pro; After Effects; Adobe Premier Pro; Encoder; Prelude; Audition; Sound Track Pro; Photoshop and Illustrator. Work experience with: audio, video (camcorders, DSLR's), lighting, and rigging. Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills; leadership and file management skills. Background as a student or part-time worker in a University creative services unit is preferred.
