Department, Visiting Assistant Professor of Education. The
Education Department at the University of New Hampshire seeks a
full-time, benefits-eligible Visiting Assistant Professor of
Education (non-tenure track) for the academic year 2012-13. The
appointment starts on August 1, 2012. Applicants must hold (or be
about to receive) a doctoral degree in philosophy of education or
educational foundations with expertise in critical pedagogies with
particular attention to issues of race, gender, ethnicity and
culture. Requirements for the position include an excellent
teaching record and successful record of research and publication.
The person hired will be responsible for teaching two courses each
semester at the advanced undergraduate and graduate levels, in
addition to mentoring student research and serving on department
committees. This one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position may
develop the following year into a tenure-track position that the
successful candidate would have an opportunity to apply for at that

vitae, a statement of research and teaching interests and
approaches to teaching, a teaching dossier (including evidence of
teaching effectiveness) and three confidential letters of
recommendation (forwarded separately by the referees) by April 30,
