Assistant or Associate Professor of Religious Studies, Three-year position, Fall 2013-Spring 2016. AOS: Open; AOC: Open. Ability to teach courses in non-Abrahamic religions is highly desired. The successful candidate will teach five courses per year. These will include intermediate and advanced courses in candidate's area(s) of expertise as well as introduction to religious studies and theory and method in religious studies. Undergraduate thesis supervision and advising of majors is also expected. The department emphasizes original scholarship as well as lively and engaging teaching. Also highly valued are a commitment to the goals of liberal arts education and an enthusiasm for interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research. PhD desired.
