Millennium Corporation , an Arlington, VA based professional services company. An 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business. Currently has an opening for a Visual Information Specialist to work at the 780 th Military Intelligence Brigade at Ft. Meade, MD.

Specific Requirements / Skills:
Individual contractor and subcontractor personnel must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance which will include a Special Background Investigation (SBI), as well as take and successfully pass a current Counter-Intelligence Polygraph, or consent to having same.

Required Experience / Skills:
The Contractor will provide a Visual Information Specialist - Graphic Artist. The Contractor shall provide one fully qualified graphics artist. This individual plans, develops the design and display of original visual creative treatments from general descriptions for printed publications, exhibits, objects, or the visual content of oral presentations and other communication media when the subject matter is novel, unique, abstract in nature, and/or has a multiplicity of themes; with minimal supervision. Recommends to the command precise subject matter content and aspects of the subject matter to be emphasized and translates subject matter ideas and information into visual representations. Designs and produces, by computer or more traditional methods, diagrams, graphs, slides, charts, displays, flyers, posters, signs, logos, photographs, illustrations, objects, models, and publications used in books, magazines, pamphlets, exhibits, live or video recorded speeches or lectures, and other means of communicating. Operate and utilize digital graphics software applications on Macintosh and/or PC based systems or other related design equipment in conjunction with a variety of peripheral devices to perform work. Leads quality assurance efforts to ensure that graphics materials developed consistently apply appropriate visual treatment standards and techniques and result in the highest commercial quality. Advises and consults with the command to determine their graphic design needs, evaluates the feasibility, and visible objectives of each project or task, and communicates message through any combination of style, words, or images.

o Manages the design process and design services; prepares clear outlined design objectives, manages project logistics, creates cost statements, and plans production schedules.

o Manages and creates style guidelines, branding guidelines, design systems, and color palettes.

o Designs, prepares, and fabricates layouts for brochures, publications, certificates, diagrams, cover-art, exhibits, displays, and other public documents.

o Builds multi-page, interactive documents and arranges traditional prepress activities using digital software applications.

o Designs and fabricates exhibits, displays, and dioramas.

o Creates content, layout, design, and final art elements; logo, artwork, images, illustrations, colors, typography and other graphic elements.

o Illustrates thumbnail sketches and/or assembles miniature mockups or conceptual design layouts.

o Corrects and edits low and high-resolution images.

o Maintains and archives all records, negatives, original art and other related work.

o Maintains the proper legal protection of real and intellectual property.

o Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to establish and maintain effective working relationships

o Create effective products that communicate to a specific audience; to manage multiple projects; to produce design concepts, draw thumbnails and render illustrations; to establish color management; to select effective typography, ,to conduct photo scanning and editing; to create vector-based graphics including selecting the proper paper and grain direction; to use advanced digital software applications; to produce color matchups and prepress proofs; to electronically transfer digital documents for printing on a high- end four color press; to convert layouts to PDF for Web imaging and video production; to determine correct print production techniques for four color press and color printers' to select the proper paper for specific outputs; to prepare electronic prepress files for output and to plan and produce web and video productions. Ability is required to use electronic prepress, photo manipulation, vector graphic creation, web page development and video production hardware and software.

Required Education / Certification:
Bachelors Degree and 3 years of experience.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, salaried / exempted position in IAW the Fair Labor Standards Act.

All work will be performed "on-site" in a standard temperature-controlled, secured office environment.

Work days are (Number of Hours) (Numeric character) hours and the office is open from 8am until 5pm.

Occasional "additional" hours (more than 8hrs) may be required due to workload or client urgent needs.

Planned leave, or other absences require advance notice.
