Visualization Software Engineer
This position will support the 711 th Human Performance Wing’s Battlespace Visualization Branch. The position will support the development of a comprehensive visualization toolkit for aircraft integrity and related data, including, but not limited to, a video rendering of sorties, based on recorded integrity data, using the X-Plane flight simulator.
What you’ll do:
The software developer will integrate the X-Plane simulation into a visualization system together with other visualizations of both integrity data and other data; and will develop this platform to utilize user inputs and interactions for customizing the visualization.
What you need:
Knowledge of SQL server (SQL Server 2008 preferred)
Knowledge of Python, Visual Studio, MATLAB , C++ or similar scripting language
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline is preferred plus 2 or more years of related experience.
Nice to have:
Demonstrated familiarity with information visualization research
Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance.
Relocation for this position is NOT Available
In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level degree may substitute for two years of related experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
