The Volunteer Coordinator will manage daily operations of the center to include training and coordination of all volunteer programs and assisting the Program Manager in any additional duties.
Manage daily volunteer operations to include, but not limited to; training and coordination of all volunteer programs, scheduling of volunteers, sending emails to update schedule and inform volunteers about changing events, security badging, recognition
and dismissal (when necessary and documented).
Scheduling of volunteer activities to include center volunteers, and activity volunteers.
Monitor and schedule all necessary volunteers and activities for United Through Reading Room.
Additional duties as determined by the Programs Manager.
Assist in maintaining Center records for volunteer services to include reporting of volunteer service hours to USO Arlington.
Actively participate in all development and fundraising activities for the Center as directed by the Programs Manager.
Prepare Newsletter updates as required to solicit volunteers, and to showcase particular activities of volunteers.
High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in business or related field.
Must have a minimum of three years of volunteer management experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of budget process.
This is a part-time position based on 29 hours per week located in Dallas, Texas. Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the location.
Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
