Volunteer and Family Services Coordinator
The Family Services Coordinator is part of a team of professionals working to support families with human services needs and access to resources, services needed are to be determined cases by case. Also, the Volunteer and Families Services Coordinator supervise, train and manage all volunteers in the department of volunteer and families' services. As a team member this position is responsible for specific programs that involve professionals from community partners, volunteers and Family & Case Management.
PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY Duties include, but are not limited to, those listed below.
- Recruiting and monitoring volunteers
- Hiring and Termination of volunteers
- Delegating job duties
- Conducting Volunteer Orientation
- Obtain essential documents
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Human Services or related field
Experience working with at-risk families (social work, day care, schools)
Experience in facilitation groups
Experience collaborative working environments
Experience in public Speaking
Considerable knowledge of the theories of human and social behavior, with emphasis on family and child welfare.
Strong administrative ability, including program planning, program development and program evaluation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skills in volunteer recruitment, training and management.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, professional associates, and supervisors.
Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, minimum insurance standards
Ability to use computers, computer software, technology, telephones, fax, copier and other office equipment as needed.
Bilingual Desired, but not required
