The University of Virginia's Housing and Residence Life Department seeks applications for two (2) Wage Mailroom Assistant positions. The Housing and Residence Life Department mailroom is responsible for receiving of all mail for its residents and administrative offices.
Wage Mailroom Assistants will provide good customer service in the Station 1 & 2 and satellite mailrooms to insure the timely and efficient delivery of mail to students. The Wage Mailroom Assistants will receive and sort mail, prepare packages for distribution providing exceptional customer service and quality assurance.
The ideal candidate will be capable of representing the Housing Division and University of Virginia as an organization that provides excellent customer service. Will also have the ability to give accurate, timely and courteous responses to inquiries. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred. Basic PC and Microsoft Office skills are important to this role. The ability to prioritize work and successfully meet deadlines is essential. The successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, high paced organization.
