SUMMARY: Performs warehousing activities for organization by performing the following duties personally and/or with co-workers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties beyond this representative listing may be assigned to the essential job duties and responsibilities of this position based on Company needs.
Checks in all daily incoming shipments for all vendors by comparing actual count to packing slip.
Posts all incoming packing slip into the computer. Follows all company procedures for shortages or damaged parts.
Process all incoming stock orders within 24 hours.
Puts away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location as indicated in the computer. Insures that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label.
Locates any new parts posted into to stock by determining the correct location and making changes in the computer.
Checks in all incoming interbranch shipments from all branches by comparing actual count to the packing slip.
Posts all inter-branch packing slips into the computer. Generates a picking list and places parts in the appropriate area as indicated on the packing slip.
Disposes of any packing material not needed after each shipment is checked in.
Pulls all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and places in either will call, packages for shipment, or dispatches for delivery. Pulls all customer orders within 30 minutes.
Keep the parts warehouse clean and organized. Follow all corporate safety guidelines and policy.
Maintain all parts in “will call” by insuring that all parts pulled are placed in the appropriate “will call” bin and all paperwork associated with the order is placed with the parts.
Maintains all junk core inventory by insuring that all cores are checked in and tagged with the customer information, original invoice number and credit memo number. Places all junk cores in the assigned area and returns weekly. Ships or dispatches delivery of all cores to respective vendors.
Dispatches parts drivers to addresses indicated on the sales invoice or purchase order. Must be able to read a map and develop specific driving directions and instructions to be provided to each driver as needed.
Processes and maintains all returns by properly pulling all parts being returned from stock. Insuring that parts are in new re-saleable condition. Creates a Return to Vendor in the computer prior to shipping parts. Completes appropriate return paperwork including tracking number and freight cost.
Must file freight claims for any shortages or damaged parts received within 24 hours of receipt.
Must be able to exercise a high level of independent judgment and must possess an advanced level of reasoning skills.
Must have the ability to multi-task under pressure without losing accuracy and efficiency.
Must be able to work at maximum efficiency with minimal supervision.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.
Maintains a professional appearance and neat work area.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to speak English clearly. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply reason and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to identify and analyze problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and formulate the appropriate solutions.
Other Skills and Abilities: Computer literate with the ability to learn and be proficient in any software program utilized by the Company. Must be proficient in Microsoft software, such as Word, Excel, etc.
