Hours: 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday - Friday
Other: Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
Develops, coordinates and promotes sound public policy associated with potable water, reclaimed water and wastewater legislation and rule making at the local, state and federal levels. Analyzes proposed local, state and federal rule revisions and legislation and advises Director of draft regulations, rules, and legislative bills potentially affecting the Utility. Presents and supports the Department's policies and planning efforts on advisory committees, regulatory planning groups and workshops, including but not limited to the South Florida Water Management District, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Protection Agency. Serves as technical project manager on water supply issues.

Bachelor's Degree in the Natural Sciences, Engineering or related field; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in water utilities and state/federal regulations, rule-making, planning or policy development, including four (4) years of experience in the legislative process, public workshops, rule changes and proposed legislation AND two (2) years of experience in grant writing, preparation and administration.
PREFERENCE FOR: Master's Degree in Business/Public Administration, Political Science or related field.
