Perform complex welding on designated parts, assemblies, tolling, or other items.
Summary of essential job functions:
Plans, lays-out and sets-up welding equipment for a variety of production and repair work.
Adjust related positions and fixtures as required to work materials.
Perform required burning, soft soldering, pre and post weld heat treatment and brazing as required of various materials or assignments.
Perform welding assignments working to design drawings, sketches and verbal instructions.
Operates hand grinding, chipping and power equipment essential to the performance of assignment.
Monitors quality of work throughout all stages of welding, making dimensional and visual checks correcting faults throughout the progress of welding.

Non-essential job functions:
Assist in training other Welders.
Maintains assigned equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform assignments maintaining safe conditions throughout the work area and any other area affected.
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of three years’ experience as a Welder.
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the welding process.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Working environment and hazardous condition:
The employee will be working from a work shop, with proper heating and air-conditioning.
The employee will be required to work whenever a Company Supervisor requests.
The employee should be available to perform emergency work.
The employee may be placed on a regular on-call schedule which serves to but does not always limit the employee’s exposure to working late or extra hours.
The employee may also be required to carry and respond to a pager, Company cell phone in order to respond to emergency work.
