The WPF (.NET) Consultant position is with a large OIl & Gas services company
The postion is in Uptown -Near Chimney Rock/Westheimer (close to Galleria)
The initial contract will be for 12 months, with high probability of extending into a long term contract and/or permanent position (if desired).
The WPF consultant will be responsible for developing large scale WPF applications -design and development responsibilities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;
Providing leadership to team members and engaging in problem decomposition, software architecture, and interface design, as well as clean, efficient, re-usable code implementation;
Working closely with domain experts to design, enhance, maintain, extend, configure, test and support a variety of middleware systems, tools, and libraries;
Utilizing knowledge of structured software development environments such as source control, issue management, testing environments and strategies.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years of progressive software engineering experience
Experience must include: development with WPF and WCF Frameworks -specifically high expertise in WPF
developing Microsoft.Net applications;
developing oil and gas technical and business applications in Microsoft.Net and Sharepoint environments;
utilizing C#, MVisual Studio, and Team Foundation Server; and
knowledge of SCRUM, CMMI, Agile, CP, MSF, or RUP.
