Maintains, installs, and services electrical systems and equipment, and performs related work, as required.
Maintains, installs, and repairs transformers and wiring panels.
Services and repairs pumps, starters, motors, and other types of electrical equipment.
Conducts electrical inspections on low through medium (4160 volt A.C.) voltage motors and controllers.
Performs preventative maintenance on medium voltage electric lines and switchgear up to 4160 volts.
Oversees and participates in the disassembling, repairing, and overhauling of electrical equipment.
Serves as team leader in the installation of high voltage transformers, multi-phase electrical systems, and equipment.
Interprets electrical plans and diagrams from blueprints and updates drawings with any changes made during a new installation or repair.
Prepares reports and maintain records.
Evaluates the quality of material and supplies.
High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrician’s apprenticeship program; three years of experience as a journeyman electrician. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Must obtain a valid Georgia Water Distribution System Operator license or Wastewater Collection System Operator license within two (2) years of employment. A combination of training and experience above the minimum requirements will be considered.
Evaluation will consist of: Education, Experience, and MVR Review.
