This is an hourly role. Under the direction of the Transportation Logistics Manager, the Route Scheduler is responsible for compiling and analyzing a wide variety of ridership, scheduling, operations, and field data to identify opportunities in a fixed route demand based system. Participates in the development of the annual service plan, generates the daily dispatch plans for operations, and researches service gaps/breaks. Partners with multiple teams within the Walt Disney Company including Industrial Engineering and Workforce Management. Analyzes data using the CAD/AVL, APC and locally generated information. Computer proficiency in Microsoft programs is required with proficiency in a transit scheduling application desired.
This hourly role does not offer relocation.
Experience with a transit planning and scheduling technology
Prior experience in Trapeze or Hastus Scheduling Technology
Prior experience in public mass transit in medium to large sized companies, preferably in bus or watercraft transit
Prior experience with CAD or AVL technology
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability with the Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel
Demonstrated strong analytical skills and sound judgment
Willingness to learn and train new software packages as needed
Demonstrated strong partnering skills
Demonstrated strong negotiating and influencing abilities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent transit experience
