This is part time and sporadic work with the potential for urgent, anytime on call activity
. The successful candidate of this position is a US citizen with or capable of obtaining and maintaining a minimum of a US Secret Security Clearance. The incumbent will assist the Production Team and the Warehouse Manager with inventory management, locating, and tracking test equipment, weapon systems and components. Incumbent may transport, tow and deliver in a variety of Class C vehicles, load/unload specialized test equipment, components/systems to very remote locations in extreme environmental conditions day or night, weekdays or weekends.
Essential Job Functions
Performs basic order fulfillment and warehouse functions such as shipping, receiving, stocking, storing and inventory of materials to ensure that company warehousing needs are met.
Assists delivery personnel in unloading and stacking equipment and supplies; maintains an inventory of received shipments to ensure that shipments are according to specifications.
Assists in processing requests for items; pulls and assembles kits for shipping, prepares and packs items for shipment to ensure that all items are addressed and shipped to appropriate locations.
Contacts business unit personnel about deliveries and pick up to ensure that shipment is delivered to appropriate locations and packages are picked up in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Zero or more years of experience in warehousing
Experience working with shipping and receiving policies
Experience working with domestic and international shipping/freight regulations and procedures
Other Qualifications
Communication skills to communicate with business unit personnel, staff and management
Ability to lift and move shipments and equipment
Ability to operate hand truck, forklift or other mechanized material handling equipment
Strong communications skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to precisely follow instructions/directions
Valid driver’s license, ability to drive a variety of Class C vehicles
College degree (AA, BA, or BS) any discipline
