Provides support to warehouse function. Ensures that carriers are notified for freight pick-up and that the freight is routed properly; prepares bills of lading and shipping manifests; traces shipments and obtains proof of delivery. May answer inquiries regarding shipping status and expedite shipment when required. Position Responsibilities
Balance manifest/ASi daily report prior to uploading previous days production data into the inventory program American Software Inc
Receive inbound shipments and return bills of lading's in an inventory based computer program
Process bills of lading's for recycle items like cardboard, paper, etc
Process shipping documents.
Receive vendor freight from UPS, FedEx, etc and double check contents against packing list
Enter data into Maximo for process and inventory
Deliver vendor freight to designated person or area though use of hand truck, lift truck, etc
Enter purchase orders in ASI for dry supplies
Assist other team members
Other tasks as assigned Position Qualifications
Intermediate computer skills
4-5 years shipping/receiving experience with a strong emphases on logistics
Experience working with outside vendors, vendor freight.
