Directly responsible for overseeing the total warehouse operation including management of supplies and product inventories, scheduling and directing work activities to meet deadlines, hiring, training, and supervising unit staff. Makes purchasing decisions and vendor selections for softgoods maintained in central inventory. Investigate and report various department shortages, exceptions and delays. Recommend system changes when appropriate. Coordinate with other department managers to ensure all goals, such as customer shipping schedules, are met. Develop and execute quality control efforts within department. Utilize check systems such as cycles counts to ensure paperwork and product is correct. Develop charts and reference materials to provide consistency in job duties. Develop, implement and enforce company policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Establish and maintain effective communication links to assure top down and bottom up communication. Oversee all Shipping and Receiving activities for Boca Operations.
Strong leadership skills. Must be organized and goal oriented. Proficient with Word, Excel, and SAP Inventory System. Ability to operate forklift. Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of employment for employees in inventory, shipping and receiving as well as maintain supply and product inventory records and reports. Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers and vendors. Must be flexible and readily available for matters that may occur outside of normal business hours.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Degree requirement can be offset by additional experience in Warehousing in a biologics pharmaceutical organization. Five to seven years of relevant experience including supervisory experience. Experience working in a 24/7 pharmaceutical manufacturing organization as well with experience in handling plasma and plasma products.
