Required Experience & Education
Minimum High School Diploma
Minimum 3 years working in Warehouse Manager or similar role
Fork lift certification or willingness to complete certification
Current CA driver’s license with clean driving record
Schedule & Time Commitment
Regular Warehouse operating hours: Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, plus 2 to 3 weekends per year
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy
Develop annual strategic plan and timeline for supply purchasing, pick & pack, and delivery to 30,000+ campers at 35 Bay Area camp locations operating June-August
Continuously strategize to evolve and improve the efficiency of Galileo’s warehouse operation
Warehouse Operations
Oversee ongoing space planning and set-up of 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse to store camp supplies (~1,750 skus)
Set-up bar-coding system for supplies
Manage and develop inventory management software (Fishbowl)
Understand and improve use of the Galileo supplies database (GAMBA)
Supply Purchasing
Manage supply purchasing year round for company’s 35 summer camps
Forecast supply quantities needed based on anticipated camper enrollment
Coordinate with vendors on packaging and delivery schedule
Picking, Packing & Delivery Management
Manage receiving, unloading, and stocking of supplies
Oversee picking and packing of supplies for 35 camps to be completed in May for camp launch in June
Annually oversee purchasing, picking and packing for camp staff training for over 1000 employees
Manage delivery and pick-up process of supplies to and from camps and staff training (company uses PODs); negotiate delivery pricing with POD vendor
Develop systems for re-supplying camps for June-August, and coordinate on-time re-supply delivery to camps
Unpack and inventory warehouse after camp season
Staff Management
Hire, train, manage and oversee professional development of 5 year round team members
Hire, train, and manage seasonal warehouse team (10 staff at peak) – work closely with temp agency
Work cross-functionally with Curriculum Director to optimize types of supplies purchased and stored
Provide excellent customer service to Camp Director team
Fiscal Management
Manage and plan annual warehouse budget
Track and report all expenses to bookkeeper within two weeks of expense occurring
Other
Set up systems for ensuring a safe work environment
Classification & Compensation
Year-round, full-time, benefited employee
$55-60k base salary, depending on experience
Up to $5K bonus potential
Medical and dental benefits, paid time off, and eligibility for 401(k) after one year of employment

General supervision provided by Rich Newbery, Director of Operations
