The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing duties of warehouse personnel that fill orders, receive products into inventory. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing warehouse systems, training, safety, and compliance programs to ensure high quality performance of employees and accurate inventory to make low cost, prompt, timely and accurate deliveries to customers.

  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech “Team Ground Rules” and Mission Statement
  • Utilize warehouse management system to maintain accurate inventory
  • Schedule & direct duties of package & bulk associates effectively to achieve a high output low cost warehouse operation
  • Utilize warehouse management system & historical data in regards of product volumes to organize tanks & bin locations to ensure efficient product flow for both inbound and outbound materials
  • Set performance standards & goals for associates
  • HAZMAT knowledge in regards to labeling, packing slips, etc.
  • Acquire all required licenses, permits, etc. in required time frames
  • Lead Safety Committee and perform safety equipment inspections including but not limited to: fire extinguishers, emergency lights, security system, eye wash stations
  • Knowledge of fire suppression system
  • Knowledge of ISO requirements and follow documented procedures
  • Resolve billing issues in the Inventory Management system and develop reports to correct and prevent future errors
  • Evaluate employee performance & mentor employees not meeting performance standards to attain the standard
  • Communicate warehouse/facilities need for repair & maintenance, approve the expenses & forward to facilities manager
  • Review P&L monthly to ensure budget numbers are met
  • Manage overtime through evaluation of staffing needs through performance measurements
  • Conduct facility inspection for both inside and outside of the facility and document results on tracking log
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings for communications, training, development, and motivation of associates
  • Conduct daily warehouse meetings to discuss issues, review changes and improvements, and problem solve with staff
  • Attend operational meetings as required
  • Fill in for associates in their absence
  • Perform other duties as required
  • High School degree
  • Preferable BA in business or related field
  • 4-5 years’ warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
  • 2-3 years’ warehouse management experience
  • Knowledge of quality, 5-S, six sigma, and/or lean systems
