Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the warehouse function. Responsible for the performance of all departmental functions - Warehouse, Distribution, Shipping & Receiving, Janitorial, and Engineering.
Oversees the day-to-day operations which includes ensuring adequate staffing with properly trained personnel, accountability for quality and quantity of work, and guiding and advising subordinates in the phases of their work. Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of production output, labor efficiency, material efficiency. Interacts regularly with President and Office Staff to ensure operational priorities are aligned with the company’s goals. Develops and presents matters to the President requiring executive decisions. Conducts performance appraisals, fosters employee development, interviews as appropriate, and serves as a role model for the operation. Develops plans for new areas of technology for the processing functions.
Directs, monitors, and appraises the performance of employees immediately reporting to him/her Promotes a positive work environment that promotes creativity and teamwork among employees Conducts regular meetings with staff Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, recommends effective personnel action Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures Assumes other activities and responsibilities form time to time as directed
A minimum of three (3) years warehouse management in a manufacturing company, with the responsibilities of producing, purchasing, inventory control, production control, and engineering, as well as shipping, receiving, and warehouseing. Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skill – principles and people. Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
