Logistics Operations Americas is part of Logistics Services, Group Truck Operations. We have approximately 1,100 employees in 30 locations within the Americas regions. Our job is to design, handle and optimize the supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and for selected customers within the regions. The scope for Logistics Operations Americas includes making sure that material is transported to the production facilities, that packaging is available, that vehicles are distributed to the dealers, and that management of material, warehouses and distribution ensures the availability of parts in the region Americas. We make sure all logistics services are delivered with world class operational excellence.

  • The role of Warehouse Operator is to:
  • Responsible for the processing and completion of Dealer orders in a timely manner, safely operating the appropriate powered industrial trucks
  • Communicate any irregularities to designated Supervisor
  • Ensure all orders are completed with quality as a constant objective
  • Responsible for picking all orders in a manner, which is not only safe to the individual but also safe to the environment, he/she is working in
  • Interact with Co-workers as required
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding facility set benchmarks in the area of picking
  • Responsible for put away of inbound material according to prescribed procedures and to meet benchmarks set by management.
  • Participate in all Quality/Environmental programs as directed by management
  • Shift hours will be will 04:30 to 00:30
  • This is a Union position, joining the United Auto Workers and possible payment of initiation fees and dues will be a condition of employment

  • Authorized to complete any/all Dealer orders from start to finish with the exception that all irregularities must be modified or addressed by a Supervisor
  • Authorized to complete the put away process of inbound material with the exception of irregularities must be modified or addressed by a Supervisor

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • 3 to 6 months of related experience or training
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions according to established procedures.
  • Fork lift experience/certification is a required

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to reach with arms and hands
  • Required to stand, walk and use hands to handle tools/controls
  • Required to sit, climb, balance and crouch
  • Required to be able to lift 70lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required
  • Ability to work at heights, operating an Order Pickers for a minimum of 8 hours daily
