Perform a combination of tasks to prepare customer orders for shipment.
Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts through all areas of the warehouse to collect product from shelves and other storage areas.
Build a stable pallet board containing a variety of shapes and sizes.
Read shipping orders to review products being selected and evaluate the way to build the pallet to coordinate with delivery schedule of driver.
Label each customer order and review order for completion.
Qualifications
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings including a drug test and background investigation.
Able to work independently in a fast paced warehouse operation and learn product locations.
Work experience in warehouse or other field preferred.
Must be able to frequently lift 1-50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; extreme cold and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
