Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, , inventory control, manpower allocation, etc. Develop warehouse layout to locate and store materials by indicating locations on proper documents for easy retrieval.
Performs quality control duties – inspect incoming product for damage and report problems to Materials Manager.
Responsible for operator level maintenance of warehouse equipment. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
Responsible for creating and implementing warehouse procedures.
Schedule deliveries of raw material.
Dealing with buyers to resolve receiving and return to vendor issues.
Ensure production requirements are met daily.
Responsible for recycling activities.
Evaluate and improve efficiencies in manpower and processes.
Responsible for cycle counting, replenishment of staging area, receiving/put-away, stocking, picking, housekeeping, scrap, waste management and data entry of pertinent inventory information.
May perform other assignments from time to time as directed by management.|
