Ship and receive production materials and supplies according to established policies and procedures. Deliver finished goods and equipment as well as pick up supplies and raw materials as needed. Monitor production room inventory and replenish materials as needed. Transfer goods to designated locations with proper documentation and authorization. Assist in plant operations as needed in accordance with state and federal, company policies and procedures, including policies related to food safety and quality.
Complete all safety required American Institute of Baking (AIB) food safety and quality modules on an annual basis or within one year from start date.
Adhere to all company safety and quality standards and procedures identified in the areas covering Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Federal Drug Administration (FDA), OSHA, and British Retail Consortium (BRC).
Coordinate all shipping and receiving schedules including Pizza Kit/Artic Storage delivery.
Perform weekly inventory counts. Pick up raw materials, equipment and other supplies as needed. Place product orders.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using proper procedures and documentation. Inspect and count all raw materials and supplies.
Stage and continually replenish materials as needed by production.
Clean and maintain warehouse areas.
Follow First In-First Out (FIFO) inventory control practices for shipping and production needs.
Transfer finished goods from production to storage locations.
Organize inventory locations as directed by supervisor.
Schedule and follow truck maintenance, including cleaning trucks inside and out.
Report vehicle damage according to established procedures.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
Maintain thorough understanding of company policies and procedures necessary for completion of tasks.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Assist other Champion Foods’ orders with pick-ups and deliveries.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending, and moving of heavy (60+ pounds) weight material in difficult work position.
Exposure to refrigerated (40-degree F) and freezer environments on a daily basis, as well as seasonal temperatures.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain a valid CDS-B or A license.
Evidence of knowledge and understanding of the maintenance and operation of a straight truck and Thermoking refrigeration unit.
Demonstrated experience handling equipment (stand-up forklift, ride-along pallet jack, manual pallet jack, etc.
