Position: Warehouse Worker
Reports to: Operations/Warehouse/Assistant Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
This position has primary responsibility for completing customer orders through picking, packing, and shipping.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
1. Picking customer orders and maintenance of work area.
2. Receiving freight.
3. Checking in purchase orders from vendors.
4. Delivering merchandise.
5. Handling freight in and out.
6. Packing merchandise.
7. Sweeping floors, general housekeeping, and group maintenance.
8. Other duties as assigned.

High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to understand and comprehend English in order to read labels and fulfill orders.
Must be able to read customer orders.
Work with distribution center equipment such as fork lifts, scanning equipment, and other warehousing tools.
Most tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate.
Walking and standing are occasionally required. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day-to-day and task-to-task.
Must be able to bend, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds on a regular and continuous basis.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Requires climbing/stooping/kneeling, standing/walking, lifting/pulling/pushing, fingering/grasping/feeling, writing, sitting, bending, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 500 pounds frequently.
Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
Requires vision correctable to within the normal range and to operation of forklift and heavy equipment, along with eye-hand coordination.
Requires full range of body motion.
The worker is subject to noise (sufficient noise causes workers to shout in order to be heard) and hazards (a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on high places, and exposure to chemicals).
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
Ability to do simple math calculations, input data into the computer, and analyze data as requested.
Distribution Center environment includes varying temperatures (heat and cold) and dust where the noise level may be moderate to loud.
Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.
May work evening and/or weekends.
May be required to work overtime.
