Serves as foreman/forewoman responsible to Material Control Supervisor for directing the work of others, including scheduling, while overseeing supply functions such as binning, conducting inventories, pulls parts and reparables for issue, and issuing piece parts and supplies. Maintains all stockroom and warehouse reparable inventory at levels appropriate to supply all technician requirements, issues those parts in a timely fashion upon request, restocks bins as spares are received, maintains inventory records, organizes inventory bin locations, provides data on all inventory, stocked items, tools, and equipment.
Ability to obtain and maintain USPS security clearance.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Two years of related experience in inventory and warehouse management including but not limited to; handling all functions related to the tracking and management of material. This would include the monitoring of material moved into and out of stockroom and warehouse locations, and the reconciling of the inventory balances. Demonstrated leadership skills.
Forklift operation experience required. Demonstrated leadership skills, possess good inter-personal skills, knowledge of proper ESD procedures, ability to solve problems dealing with incorrect procedures, team building skills to achieve departmental goals, ability to work with computers and possesses key entry skills, basic Microsoft Office skills, ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license, ability to be on feet 8 hours a day, accuracy with numbers andexcellent organization skills
