To assist Coordinator in managing staff, provide information and resources to attendants, provide necessary support to attendants with all issues, manage the lights at all non-staffed rinks and complete all other duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties:

Warming House Lead Staff responsibilities include supervision of park shelter and outdoor ice rinks, enforcement or park & skating rules, supervising 20 warming house attendants, effectively dealing with employee issues/concerns, recording daily rink logs, responding to emergency situations, completing injury reports, appropriate contact with the public, help with conducting staff training, effective communication with recreation supervisor, coordinator and other lead staff, preparing employee/program evaluations and other duties assigned.

Minimum/Desirable Qualifications:

Basic first aid training required. Previous experience in supervising skating rink, staff, or other recreation activities, such as a Supervisor, Manager or Coordinator involving youth athletics, coaching, etc. is preferred. However, applicants without recreation work experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply. You must be available to work the entire season and be able to pass a background check to be considered for employment.

Supplemental Information:

Employment dates are tentatively from Saturday, December 14, 2013 through Monday, February 17, 2014, weather permitting with the potental for additional hours prior to the season beginning. Shelter buildings are open Monday through Friday from 4-9 p.m., on weekends and school release days from 2-9 p.m., and on holidays from 2-7 p.m.
