The Town of Windsor is recruiting to fill one current Wastewater System Operator II vacancy. An eligibility list will be established from this recruitment and may be used to fill future vacancies. Incumbents are responsible for performing skilled, mid-level plant operations duties in wastewater treatment. Candidates for this position must have the ability to work holidays, weekends, and standby. Possession of a Grade II Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate is required.
Operates, monitors, and maintains wastewater treatment plant, storage ponds, and related facilities to ensure compliance with environmental and public health standards, including monitoring and making adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency, making chemical dosage changes, changing pumping rates, and monitoring all equipment and facilities daily.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualification would be:
Ø Equivalent of completion of the twelfth (12 th) grade .
Ø Three years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance .
License or Certificate :
Ø Valid California Driver’s License;
Ø Possession of a Grade II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board.
