Salary is is negotiable based on experience. The purpose of this job is to provide water treatment functions to ensure EPA and EPD requirements and standards are achieved in the production of drinking water; shift work at production facility to produce potable quality water and send to distribution system for final end user use.

Examples Of Essential Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to calculating dosages and adjust pumps, backwash filters, clean basins, accept deliveries of treatment chemicals; direct subordinate workers at production facility; planning and scheduling of designated water processes, such as, calibration of plant equipment, water shutdown/start-up, filter cleaning and preparing various types of reports in performance of duties; etc.

Typical Qualifications:

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and have four (4) years experience as a licensed water plant operator.

Supplemental Information:

Applicants must have a valid State of Georgia Class I Water Treatment Operator License or eligibility to transfer registration from other states is required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license at the time of application. A valid Georgia driver's license is required at the time of appointment. Certificate and license must remain valid during tenure in this classification.
