Wealth Advisor works with affluent clients, helps them determine their goals and strategy and implements the strategy. The primary goal is to help clients invest and manage their assets in a way that maximizes the likelihood they will be able to achieve their financial goals. The Wealth Advisor has responsibility for both sourcing and closing new business from qualified referrals.
Required Experience, Education and Licenses
Six to ten years’ experience in investment management and financial planning with proven record of client responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Hold a current or valid CFP® designation or CPA license or desire to obtain such designation or license.
If a CFP® professional or CPA, must be a member in good standing with CFP® or CPA boards, associations and societies.
Specialized skills – proactive, high level of commitment and motivation, strong communication and listening, effective follow-up and closing, big picture yet attention to detail, accuracy, proficiency with Excel, Word and other financial planning software
Develops "high-trust" relationship with Firm Partners and external contacts for qualified referrals
Develops "high-trust" relationship with prospective clients with portfolios over $1 million
Presents analysis and proposals to prospective clients with goal of converting them as clients
Develops Investment Plan and Policy and Statement
Implements and maintains Investment Policy for client relationships
Works with client advisory team to determine and assist implementation of advanced wealth planning strategies
Builds client relationships through ongoing contact, service and education
Meets annual revenue and assets under management goals
Willing to travel out-of-town to meet with clients and prospective clients
