This position is accountable for supporting Barclaycard Consumer Europe (BCE) online marketing programs. BCE is a large ( > £10BN) and multi-geography (UK, Germany, and Scandinavia) portfolio.
The analyst will interact closely with others within Marketing Analytics as well as business partners. They will need to gain a strong understanding of all existing online marketing programs, competitor strategies & analytical capabilities.
Performing analysis to boost marketing returns on acquisition campaigns. Identifying & executing opportunities to generate more leads & converting on those leads.
Understand & analyse P&L drivers of profitability across portfolios. Forecast profitability for products currently in market and products designed to enter new marketing segments.
The post holder will assist in the design of test campaigns, which will ensure the ability to have measurable and valid results. And be accountable for analysing new opportunities, helping to optimise both new and existing programs and ensuring all marketing activities meet corporate return hurdles.
Present back findings internally and to business partners. Opportunity to participate in financial/business reviews updating management on a routine basis.

The role will be responsible for analysis that assists business partners in development of effective marketing strategies. And working with partners to implement strategies through monthly or adhoc campaigns.
The post holder will assist in the design of test campaigns, ensuring the ability to have measurable and valid results. The role also involves performing short and long term analysis based on program test performance to support optimal marketing program strategy and recommendations. Extend / modify analysis based on observations/ knowledge of data and limitations, and implications of results.
Ensure marketing analyses are completed on time and meet or exceed quality standards.

A degree/diploma in a analytical/business related discipline
Effective in the use of analytical tools, including SQL, SAS and Excel

2 years of direct experience in organic and paid search optimization, managing affiliate strategy & optimization of electronic mail effectiveness.
Experience analysing products/programmes through the lens of marginal P&L contribution, return on capital metrics and in line with strategic direction.
Commercial and financial awareness and experience including Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet management
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Effective stakeholder management skills
Industry knowledge (ideally experience with major international financial services firm)
Ability to convert analytical data into strategic insight and communicate that message effectively in PowerPoint
Ability to identify solutions and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way for both technical and non-technical audiences
