T he Web Analyst is responsible for analyzing the B2C Web business across all digital platforms (website, mobile, app), including site analytics (traffic, shopping cart and conversion funnel), merchandise sell-thru and marketing/promotional campaign performance. Additional responsibilities will include conducting competitive research, preparing financial and new product offering forecasts and managing budget.
Ability to analyze large quantities of data generated from multiple sources (i.e. internal data warehouses, 3 rd party web analytic platforms, etc.), ensuring data integrity
Partner with cross-functional team to gather reporting and analytical requirements
Create and distribute daily, monthly and quarterly reporting/analysis on overall site performance metrics and key business and operational metrics
Define key performance metrics in defined areas or "funnels" throughout the entire eCommerce customer experience
Identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing data from multiple sources and presenting recommendations
Ability to effectively present reports/analyses (in person or digitally) to a wide range of team members, from entry-level to senior executives
Work with eCommerce Director in forecasting unit, revenue & profit for new product/designs, promotions and campaigns; performs analysis by tracking forecasts versus actual results and develops forecasting processes based on analysis of results
Consistently conduct industry research and share findings and actionable recommendations with key stakeholders
Use customer insight tools to identify research and prioritize key revenue driving improvements/enhancements to the site
Review and analyze product, design and collection sell-thru performance on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Conduct extensive competitive research for key eCommerce initiatives
Manage eCommerce budget for forecast against actual and reconciles variances
Work with eCommerce Marketing Manager on evaluation of all online marketing channels and provide support on managing email database to create targeted segments
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or Finance
2-3 year of related experience (eCommerce, Retail and/or Consumer Goods, Strategy / Consulting, Analytics, Finance)
Experience with databases, writing/creating reports and data analysis
Possess extremely strong technical and analytical mindset
Possess a complete understanding of the purpose, vision and business plan of the eCommerce department.
Possess a complete understanding of Web Analytics platforms (Google Analytics, ATG, Omniture, etc.)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
Must be deadline driven and operate with strong sense of urgency.
Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment.
