Role Description: Applicant will be responsible for ongoing maintenance, optimization and extension of our real-time, proprietary data aggregation and reporting platform. While there are other development initiatives that the Developer will own, the ANNEX is the most substantial, and all of our web applications use the same technologies. The ANNEX accepts input data from multiple traffic networks, in various formats, both through automated and manual options. Cron jobs run regularly to digest data dropped on FTP, and to pull data from various APIs over http.

Standardized CSV files can also be uploaded manually for the platform to digest. The data describes advertiser metrics and overall margin data, and includes such primitives as Date, Hour, Impressions, Clicks, CPM, as well as variable targeting " behavioral filters, all of which is exposed to the web via various reports and data trees. Initial responsibilities will focus on project migration from offshore to in-house development, including source-control, backup and disaster recovery plan implementation, while ramping into v1.2 development cycle. Planned development includes the addition of new data input sources, new reports and improved charting, as well as new self-serve signup integration.

Requirements: Applicant has 3 years professional experience in all the following applicable technologies: * PHP coding (including source control) * MySQL (development and administration) * jSON / jQuery (digesting and generating) * Linux web server (administration and cron jobs) Preference for applicant with experience: * Reporting / charting library integration (any reputable package) * Data aggregation and reporting projects Developer will report to VP of Technology, and will work closely with existing tech and design resources. Regular duties include PHP code development, database management " development, and infrastructure maintenance. HTTP content requests are made via jQuery, and responses are sent back as jSON objects – both sides of that communication would be the Applicant°s to deliver " maintain. Properly optimized aggregation and data warehousing are also key to the Developer°s success.

Applicant will occasionally fill real-time, ad-hock data requests beyond normal software " database QA testing; common ad-hock requests involve collection of intelligence " insight from data where existing reporting falls short. Opportunities for new reports will arise from such discoveries, including internal accounting insight, and detailed ROI analysis.
