As part of our Customer Experience COE, this candidate will partner with business stakeholders, marketing, UX, interface developers, and project management to create strategic design plans and manage projects accordingly. This includes the quality of work from designers assigned to their projects and assure that all work adheres to GE brand principals and guidelines. Design work will include web sites, web and native applications with easy to use interfaces and professional level visual design.
Designs web sites, web applications, and native device applications (iOs and Android) with easy to navigate user interfaces (UI) and appealing, professional level visual design (demonstrates strong command of layout, typography, graphics, icons, and color)
Creates proof-of-concepts and prototype
Supports development and production as needed and assures that final solutions accurately adhere to design quality standards
Researches user's needs as well as potential system enhancements as needed
Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years relevant work experience) with a minimum 2 years IT experience
Minimum 2 years of enterprise graphic design and web design experience
Must be willing to travel 20% of the time
Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
Must be 18 years or older

Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or related field
Possess an online portfolio or samples of work that demonstrates the ability to create high-quality, innovative user-centered interactive design solutions
Deep knowledge of UX/IA/Web & mobile design best practices and emerging trends
Experience designing web applications strongly preferred
Experience designing digital marketing communications with copywriting direction a plus
Proven ability to develop design documents (sketches, wireframes, mockups, brand guidelines) for mobile, web and digital applications
Experience managing projects in a non-traditional, fast changing environment
Able to drive design activities and process, elicit critique and feedback, and execute design solutions independently
Able to define, articulate, and integrate the role of design within a large organization
Strong presentation skills a plus
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications strongly preferred, familiarity with Axure and HTML/CSS a plus
Experience in project estimation, demand forecasting, and budget management
