Description of Duties
  • Designs and develops content for Nintendo's web sites and web-based marketing activities
  • Responsible for graphic and user interface design of web components and layouts for Nintendo's web sites and e-mail campaigns
  • Assist with the execution of ideas and needs from various departments and conceptualize new design elements as needed
  • Provides feedback to outside agencies on web design
  • Communicates and enforces design standards
  • Capable of outlining and articulating design parameters, style guides and visual standards
  • Create innovative, efficient and logical designs with technical solutions in mind
  • May give some direction to contractors and/or project personnel
  • Handles design projects from conception to delivery
  • Prepares and presents proposals regarding design, content, features, standards, and creative new approaches for the use of online communication
  • Interacts with team members and peers and may interact with vendors to explain or provide semi-routine information related to assigned activities
Summary of Requirements
  • Three years of related design experience
  • Must possess broad design expertise from visual design, interaction design, to conceptual/prototyping design
  • Superior design aesthetics and understanding of consumer focused marketing
  • Strive to create great user interface experience across different platforms including web, mobile, tablet, Nintendo consoles, and mobile apps.
  • In-depth knowledge of PC/Mac-based image manipulation and design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and InDesign
  • Ability to prototype in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or AfterEffects.
  • A working knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript
  • Experience with UX/UI, and mobile iOS/Android apps design a plus
  • Passionate in iterative design process and environment
  • Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the video game industry a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree Graphic Design or related field.
