As a member of our U.S. Marketing Communications team, the Web Designer position will have the following responsibilities:

· Create, edit, and modify website graphics for use on Lincoln Electric website, online ads, and other media

· Create, edit, and update site copy

· Update Product Catalog with copy revisions, imagery, etc

· Maintain content including metadata and file access permissions in the Marketing Center on myLincolnElectric.com:

o Document Library

o E-Mail Library

o Literature Request Form

o Image Library

· Assist with graphics and content creation of online newsletter

· Manage promotion area on myLincolnElectric.com home page

· Manage metadata on web pages and posted files for best results on all search engines

· Generate reports on site traffic, top pages, and other business metrics

· Work with IT and/or vendor on web-based projects


· Five years professional-level Web Design and Development experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Marketing, or another discipline emphasizing high-level visual communication

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and HTML editors such as Dreamweaver

· Familiarity with content management tools ( e.g. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server)

· Ability and interest in writing marketing content

· Thorough knowledge of Internet and Internet technologies including CSS3, HTML5, java script, and XML

· Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access

· Experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar photo editing software

· Experience with web analytics tools such as WebTrends and Google Analytics

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to correspond and interact with internal personnel and outside agencies

· Working understanding of welding and welding industry a plus

· Bi-Lingual ( English/Spanish) a plus
