Purpose of position is to advance digital and web opportunities to achieve strategic goals and objectives of the University. Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical and functional design, development, integration, maintenance and optimization of existing and future digital presence, including websites, applications, systems, forms, e-communications, and social media.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains Web sites, applications and systems through all aspects of the development lifecycle. This includes concepting, prototype design, navigation, general functionality, image optimization, search engine optimization (SEO), quality assurance, final execution and ongoing maintenance.
Creates and implements web solutions to meet web marketing needs such as landing pages, forms and applications, registrations, and integrating social media networking.
Identifies, develops and integrates the latest Web 2.0 technologies: social networking/media, blogs, RSS feeds, online, video, audio, podcasts, mobile marketing “texting”, email and customer engagement and consumer-generated media.
Manages accounts, coordinates data, and supervises e-mail communications deployed from Demand Engine as well as via alumni content management system.
Works with other members of the marketing team and vendor-partners to uncover and leverage new and emerging on-line trends, and communications opportunities.
Partners to optimize site and campaign measurement and analytics to advance consumer communications.
Participates in training of internal stakeholders to allow controlled access and updates to website via Dreamweaver, email data via Demand Engine, unique Facebook accounts, Typepad blogging software.
Prioritizes multiple tasks, creates schedules and meets deadlines.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and 4+ years relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work well independently and in a dynamic team environment.
Ability to initiate, coordinate, oversee and complete projects with minimal supervision. Ability to assume responsibility, problem-solve, and exercise independent judgment when making decisions.
Understand the importance of rapidly learning new software, tools and web technologies. Interest in Web applications, social networks, blogs and new media
Ability to think conceptually, and visualize/follow concept through development
Success in prioritizing, scheduling and meeting deadlines on time and on budget.
